Peter Holbrook

President

Pete began his career in 1977 by joining the in-house advertising department of an industrial chemical company. Since starting his own agency in 1984, he has seen technology transform the way we communicate with customers. But one thing hasn’t changed, and that is the need for marketing messages that are clear, compelling and accurate – particularly when dealing with complex products and technologies. Pete’s after-hours interests include landscape gardening and writing for musical theatre.

Mary Dellenbach

Creative Direction and Account Management

Mary is a writer with a lifelong interest in science. She joined Holbrook in 2011 as a copywriter, and her responsibilities now also include account management and creative direction. Mary holds a master’s in Spanish Linguistics and Translation and spent 3 years in Spain as an English teacher and translator. She writes fiction and children’s stories in her spare time.

Briana Clark

Creative Direction and Account Management

Before joining Holbrook in 2016, Briana spent six years as a marketing communications consultant. She holds an MBA from St. Catherine University and Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Outside the office, she is working on a science fiction novel and serves on the Board of Directors for a nonprofit retailer, Ten Thousand Villages St. Paul.

Tim McElreavy

Production Manager and Copywriter

Tim has nearly 20 years of experience as a writer, editor, and content manager in a variety of environments, from Fortune 500 companies to research universities and Silicon Valley startups. He holds a master’s degree in art history and has a lifelong interest in art, literature, travel and languages. A recent transplant from San Francisco, Tim enjoys exploring Minnesota, and he may eventually get around to writing that elusive novel.

Martha Heyl

Copywriter

Martha is a writer with a broad range of design experience, including videography, merchandising and the arts. Before joining Holbrook, she lent her know-how to local start-ups, small businesses and theater companies – using her eye for aesthetics alongside her love of language. In her spare time, Martha is an avid weight-lifter and baker, writes short stories and is currently working on a graphic novel set in the Boundary Waters.

Ed DuRose

Designer

Ed does a lot of our print design and technical illustration. He is also an accomplished wildlife photographer, painter and scratchboard artist. His artwork has appeared in books and magazines, and his paintings have been featured on the Minnesota Duck and Pheasant Stamps.

Lori Ryan

Designer

Lori is our go-to designer for infographics and interactive material creation. In addition, Lori also creates design concepts and works on many of our print and web marketing materials. In her free time, she creates line art, icons, mixed media paintings, and enjoys working as a designer for non-profits.

Marshall Johnson

Designer

Marshall does a lot of our packaging, displays and booth production. On the digital side, he works on many of our social media and email projects. When he’s not on the clock, Marshall designs products and manages the website for his company, the ZA Group, LLC. His current products consist of high-end graphic targets, ammo boxes and clothing items featuring zombies, monsters and more.

Alex Watkins

Designer

Alex works on a lot of our tradeshow graphics, website designs, emails and banner ads but also has a lot of experience with print marketing material creation and print production. In his spare time, he enjoys truly Minnesotan hobbies including: fishing, boating and downhill skiing.

Bruce Heyl

Designer

Over twenty-five years of small agency creative experience make Bruce a valuable gap-filler at Holbrook. In baseball terms, he describes himself as the plucky utility infielder who occasionally hits for power. He is equally comfortable taking over existing projects or starting new ones. Bruce loves the arts, and lives for Boundary Waters canoeing and hot cocoa twenty miles from the nearest internal combustion engine.

Ed Heyl

Designer

Gus is our expert in animation and motion graphics. He also does video editing, front-end web coding, and wireframing for FUZE-based webpages. He has a BFA in animation and is currently completing his studies in massage therapy. Also, he loves aerial circus and his four cats.
